This summer I went camping with my family. We drove around quite a bit looking for a place to camp [it was really crowded that weekend ;], and by the time we got to our campground, we were all tired. But before we all went to bed, we made a campfire and cooked all kinds of lovely things. Which was fun. But my absolute favorite part was the sky. The stars were incredible. Anyone who has not forgone the city lights for a night and just looked at the stars has not lived. The night was brilliantly lit, each star a slightly different hue, each constellation sharply defined. And this verse here says that it is the work of God's fingers. A breathtaking masterpeice: God's fingerpainting. Then the second part of the verse takes that which is already incredible and blows it out of the water: "What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that you visit him?" The God whose fingers ordained the magnificence of the night sky [and the rest of the universe] is mindful of US. I can't even wrap my head around it. But it reminds me of this cool song by Sixteen Cities called 'Sing Along'.
